We’re back up in Michigan, and I’ve saved one of my favorite families for last! My family! How cute are my nieces & nephew! We were off on all sorts of adventures, and had a beautiful night for a shoot. We found flowers, and frogs, and sand dunes to climb! These guys have been so lucky to spend over a month up here, and are now headed back to Colorado at the end of the week as the summer is coming to an end. Always a sad time, but they head out with many memories with their cousins & much to look forward to next year! Thank you Gutmans for a great shoot and fun time spent together!!

IMAGE OVERLOAD!!! Seriously though, how could I not! Miss Morgan lives in Wisconsin! Yes, Wisconsin! Over 6 hours away, and she drove here to see ME!! I was so overjoyed! So, we stepped it up a notch, and jumped around to all kinds of locations! I still can’t decide which are my favorite. I believe all of them! HUGE thank you to Morgan & her mom for making the trip to Indy, and for having so much fun with it all. I am thrilled you enjoyed our city, and excited to see the rest of the images!!

I ♥ Lululemon! I buy many items in multiple colors, and I find myself living in their pants most days of the week. So, I was thrilled when rumors started swirling in Indy that they would be opening a showroom here in Indy. And, then to be contacted by them to work together on pictures of their ambassadors for the showroom was a dream. The ladies of the Lululemon Indy showroom are fantastic! I had such a fun time going around the city with them and meeting many of the Indy rockstars who lead workout classes throughout Indy. And, here they are above. We used some fun templates to add their names & where they teach, and they can be seen displayed on the showroom wall.

And, they are open 10-6 Thursday thru Satuday

And, another shoot from my favorite place, Crystal Lake. This shoot has been in discussions for 2 years, so I am so happy we were all up at the lake at the same time and could make it happen. Plus, they were up for anything so I was thrilled we could try out some new spots. Isn’t Rachel stunning! I am so jealous of those curls! Thank you Fisks for such a great shoot. I am glad we got to see so much of each other over the holiday & wedding!!!

Seriously, I couldn’t have been happier during this photoshoot. Favorite family + favorite location= awesomeness! My husband grew up spending summers at a magical place called Crystal Lake in Michigan. It’s a place where the water sparkles clear blue, the people invite you in, the kids can run from beach to beach, and the food is always amazing. We try and spend as much time up there each year, and got lucky this year with twelve days straight! I had many shoots while there, but this one is special because we’ve been trying to get it together now for a few years. And, here it is! The light is so amazing up there you can’t start shooting until 7:45/8pm. These 2 were such troopers and so fun to explore with! Plus their mom is definitely on my favorites list. Can’t wait to get back up there and see them in a few weeks!

Thank you so much to this bunch for being so patient with me! We were able to fit their shoot in just before I left town to northern Michigan for two weeks, so they have had to wait quite a bit for their sneak peek. But, aren’t they so cute! I just love it! Happy Birthday again Mom. I hope you love your present!!

After days of crazy humidity & rain, we finally caught a break for Caroline & Andrew’s shoot! It was beautiful out, and we had a ball. I had been looking forward to their shoot ever since Dad called to surprise Mom with a gift certificate for Mother’s Day. We started with a mini session indoors, and then headed out to Holiday Park. Caroline requested we bring my vintage baby buggie that’s in the studio, and I am so glad she had such vision. She was so determined to push that buggie everywhere all by herself. I was quite impressed. And Baby Rew! That’s how he’s known in the family. He is the cutest!

Engaged: Allyssa & Sachin

It was one of those mornings I dread…will it rain or will it hold off just a bit? With Sachin having come down from Chicago we were hoping for the best! And, we got it! I am so thrilled to be photographing these two on their special day in October! They were up for anything, and a breeze to photograph. And, it was meant to be…as I pulled out of the parking lot the rain drops began to fall! Thank you Allyssa & Sachin. Looking forward to October!

Wedding: Marne & Jeff

Warning! Image Overload! I just couldn’t help myself. Marne & Jeff were married over Memorial Day Weekend. They are HUGE Indy 500 fans, so they got married and ran off to the race the next morning. We even got permission to shoot their engagement session on the track. Awesome! They had a beautiful day, and it was nice to see all of their family and friends gathered to wish them well. Marne & I first met when we were bridesmaids in our friend Jenny’s wedding. Jenny was not only the maid-of-honor on this special day, but also did the beautiful flowers for the event. They were amazing! Congratulations Marne & Jeff. It was such a pleasure to work with you!! And, another huge thanks to my dear friend Rachel for coming in from KC to second shoot with me. I had a blast, and am so happy you enjoyed your first Indy 500!

Wedding: Monica & Carson

Time to kick off wedding season! And, I couldn’t have had a better bride & groom to do that with. You may remember them from here. I first met Monica when she stopped by my grand opening last August. So, I was thrilled when she popped back in the studio to talk more in depth about her and Carson’s big day. I first met Carson when we got together for the engagement session, and quickly found out he was also a graduate of Miami of Ohio…woo-hoo! Needless to say their wedding day was absolutely perfect, and it was great to be amongst their family and friends as they wished them love and happiness. A HUGE thank you to my dear friend Rachel for making the trip from KC to second shoot with me. It was great to work alongside someone I adore and respect. Congratulations Monica & Carson!
